PSG chase €200m wonderkid as Kylian Mbappe replacement
Paris Saint-Germain are hoping to sign Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal as part of their Kylian Mbappe rebuild, according to reports in France.
Yamal, 16, has broken countless records during the 2023-24 campaign and he has emerged as one of the Blaugrana’s most important players after ousting Raphinha as Xavi’s first-choice right winger.
The Spain international has six goals and five assists in all competitions this season, while he was involved in a major controversy during Barca’s El Clasico defeat to Real Madrid on Sunday night after his ‘ghost goal’ was not awarded by officials.
With Mbappe set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his PSG contract expires at the end of June, the Ligue 1 giants are preparing to sign at least one marquee forward to replace him this summer.

Lamine Yamal to PSG?
According to Le Parisien, Yamal is currently on their transfer wish-list, despite the fact he plays in the same position as €50m signing Ousmane Dembele, who joined PSG from Barcelona last summer.
The Spanish wonderkid was recently linked with a move to PSG by Spanish outlet Marca, while Barcelona president Joan Laporta has stated that he recently rejected a €200 million bid for the teenager, believed to have been submitted by the Parisians.

However, the French side remain keen on Yamal as they pursue an Mbappe replacement.
Victor Osimhen, Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford have also been linked with a summer move to the Parc des Princes, although a pursuit of the latter has reportedly been ruled out by PSG.
Yamal’s current contract at Barcelona runs until 2026, while he has a reported €1 billion release clause included in that deal. The 16-year-old has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €44.8m, although Barca’s €200m rejection makes it clear they don’t plan on offloading the teenager at any price.
