Mbappe set for ENORMOUS pay cut at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe is set to accept a huge pay cut when he joins Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, according to reports in Spain.

His Paris Saint-Germain contract is due to expire at the end of June and the Frenchman has previously revealed that he will not be signing an extension at the Parc des Princes.

After rejecting Real Madrid in 2022, Mbappe is on the verge of finally completing a historic move to the Santiago Bernabeu, where he will link up with the likes of Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo.

Los Blancos will inevitably be favourites to win the 2024-25 Champions League as result, with their attack set to become the most dangerous in Europe.

Although Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid this summer on a free transfer, he is reportedly set to take a huge pay cut to ensure the move happens.

According to Spanish outlet AS, the 24-year-old will earn a net annual salary of €15 million, which is reportedly a third of what he is currently earning at PSG. This has seemingly already been agreed between Los Blancos and the player.

His signing-on bonus, however, is yet to be revealed, but Mbappe will own 80% of his image rights.

Furthermore, the France international is set to be handed a tax relief by the Spanish government. ‘The Mbappe Law’ will ensure he will pay just 24.5% of personal income tax, only 2% more than what workers who earn between €12,000 and €18,000 gross per year.

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe replacement

As per multiple reports, Barcelona’s 16-year-old wonderkid Lamine Yamal is currently PSG’s dream replacement for Mbappe. The Parisians are understood to have already failed with a €200m bid, however, meaning it’s unlikely their pursuit will be successful.

Yamal has eight goals and five assists in all competitions this season, while he has already broken countless records at Barcelona.
