Real Madrid star’s value EXPLODES as Mbappe signing looms
Real Madrid may be ready to welcome Kylian Mbappe to their squad in the summer, but his arrival means that players will be sold.
Los Blancos are not willing to allow star names to depart on the cheap, though, with the Bernabeu club having pinned a huge valuation on the head of former Manchester City youngster Brahim Diaz.
Despite not always starting for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, Diaz has turned in an impressive campaign. Having appeared in 34 matches in all competitions, he has delivered nine goals and five assists.

Diaz’s season will be remembered for the striking goal he netted away to RB Leipzig in the last 16 of the Champions League, allowing Real Madrid to successfully navigate a tricky evening without Jude Bellingham.
Sport reports that the Morocco international’s asking price has more than doubled.
Last summer, Real Madrid would have been willing to accept a bid of €25 million, yet that has been cranked up to €60m.

Brahim out to fund Mbappe signing?
Los Blancos are seeking to raise money to help fund the arrival of Mbappe.
Though the PSG star is set to arrive on a free transfer at the end of his contract, he will be anything but cheap. Mbappe is set to land a record signing on fee and will command wages in excess of €30m per year.
To help fund this transfer, Diaz is one of the players who is set to be sacrificed. He earns around €8m annually and is under contract until 2027.
Real Madrid’s asking price, though, is likely to limit the number of teams that can move for the 24-year-old.
FootballTransfers’ algorithm gives Brahim Diaz an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €34m, with the Malaga-born star having reached a peak of close to €40m earlier this season.
Any club investing €60m in him, then, would be taking some risk.
