Fabrizio Romano transfer news: Chelsea ATTACK Barca gem, Man Utd’s Zirkzee BOMB, Yoro LATEST
Fabrizio Romano has reported the latest football transfer news, including Chelsea moving for one of Barcelona’s brightest young players, the latest on Samu Omorodion and detailing Joshua Zirkzee’s exact position as Manchester United line up a deal.
Romano has revealed that Chelsea are fighting Bayern Munich for a talented young forward available for just €6 million – and the Blues have taken control of this particular transfer race.
“Chelsea and Bayern Munich are showing concrete interest in Barcelona’s talented striker Marc Guiu,” he told his YouTube channel.

Romano continued: “He’s already scored for Barca’s first team and sometimes plays for the second team. He’s got a special release clause in his contract, €6m. He’s a big opportunity and many clubs around Europe are looking at him.
“Chelsea have started the attack for Marc Guiu. Two days ago, Chelsea were in the mix. Now we can confirm interest from two clubs, Chelsea and Bayern. They’re really pushing. Bayern are also pushing for Chidoze-Martin, the Arsenal academy superstar, one of many they have. And then, they consider Marc Guiu.
“For the moment, Chelsea have overtaken Bayern. They’ve had positive contacts with the player’s side, agent and family over the weekend. They’re working on it. They’re insisting on the deal. It’s not done yet. There’s also the possibility, discussed with the agents of Marc Guiu, to send him on loan to Strasbourg, but it’s not decided yet. The signing is still being planned and Chelsea are presenting several opportunities. The discussions are advancing.

“What about Barcelona? They presented Marc Guiu a new contract proposal and they believe it was good in terms of salary and project. But they’ve not received positive feedback from the player. They’re waiting on the player to make his decision.
“Now Chelsea are front runners in this race.”
Samu Omorodion deal not dead
Although transfer reports surrounding Samu Omorodion have quietened in recent days, Romano says Chelsea are still in talks with the Atletico Madrid star.
“Chelsea in recent days, presented a €40 million package,” he said. “Chelsea were still in contact with the agents of the player in recent days, trying to understand the position of the player.
“I can confirm to you what we always said in recent days. Omorodion is very happy at Atletico Madrid, he’d love to play for them, he’s not desperate at all to leave the club. Atletico Madrid’s position is that they want to keep Omorodion and give him the chance to play for them. If a huge bid arrives – the release clause it €80m – it could change the position, but Atletico Madrid’s mission is to keep the player.
“Atleti believe with a good season, he’ll be worth big, big money in the future.”
Romano drops Zirkzee update
Joshua Zirkzee’s position at Bologna, meanwhile, has not changed according to Romano – and that is not necessarily good news for Manchester United.
While recent reports have put him close to the Old Trafford club, a deal does not appear as likely as some of these might suggest.
Romano said: “We know that nothing has changed in recent days. Despite rumours, nothing has changed with AC Milan agreeing on the contract of the player, on the salary of the player, and the player is keen on the move. But still waiting on the commission, which remains the issue.
“For Manchester United, nothing has changed so far. Let’s see what they’ve discussed internally.
“Jarrad Branthwaite remains a topic at Man Utd, but also Zirkzee, who they’ve had information on in recent weeks.
“At the moment, they’ve not communicated with Bologna or told them of their will to trigger the release clause, so we still have to wait and see when and how Man Utd will move. It’s still in early stages of the process. The message from the player is very clear: he’s happy to go to Milan.”
Yoro wants Real Madrid
Romano also made it clear that the priority of Lille defender Leny Yoro is to move to Real Madrid. A deal is not certain, however, but if he were to move to PSG or Liverpool, this would be a second-choice option for him.
“We’re waiting on Leny Yoro,” Romano said.
“He told Real Madrid he wanted to go there in October or November. At that point, he told his agent and Real Madrid his desire to go there. He’d love to go there. His priority remains Real Madrid.
“Now they have to decide if they want to sign him or not. Nacho is going to the Saudi Pro League, so they need to assess their options.
“PSG and also Liverpool are the clubs interested in Yoro. They have a chance only if Real Madrid leaves the race.”
