Real Madrid have reportedly agreed personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz, with the Germany international potentially set to join the club in 2025.

The 21-year-old was named the Bundesliga’s Player of the Year last season after helping Leverkusen win the German top flight with an unbeaten record, and he is wanted by numerous top clubs.

Manchester City, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have all been linked with a move for Wirtz over the past year, but Real Madrid are hoping to make him their next Galactico signing, according to reports in Spain.

Kylian Mbappe and Endrick have already joined the club this summer, but Los Blancos remain determined to add even more attacking firepower to their squad.

Wirtz has confirmed that he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen for the 2024-25 campaign, but an exit in 2025 is extremely plausible. Furthermore, the Germany international has now agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, as per Marca.

Leverkusen have reportedly placed a €150 million asking price on Wirtz’s head, however that figure could fall next summer as he will only have two years left on his contract at the BayArena.

Jude Bellingham set for new role

As per FootballEspana, Wirtz will become Real Madrid’s new No.10 if he joins the club in 2025, with Jude Bellingham set to drop into a deeper role.

The England international joined Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund last summer and despite playing as a box-to-box midfielder in Germany, Bellingham was utilised as almost a false nine during his debut campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, he is reportedly expected to drop into a more reserved position if Real Madrid are able to complete a deal for Wirtz next year.

In addition to pursuing Wirtz in 2025, the Spanish giants are also interested in signing Leny Yoro (Lille), Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich), and Franco Mastantuono (River Plate) this summer.
