Real Madrid are reportedly already actively working on signing two world-class players on free transfers next summer.

It has already been a sensational summer of activity for Real Madrid with the signing of Kylian Mbappe - who is one of the best players in world football at the moment.

The addition of Endrick, one of the biggest up and coming prospects is another encouraging sign of Real Madrid's future - with Carlo Ancelotti now possessing a squad capable of competing with the Galacticos of the past.

But this could be just the beginning of a new era of dominance for Real Madrid. According to the latest reports, Floretino Perez will be looking to reinforce the club even further next summer.

Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto has claimed on Football Espana that Real Madrid are looking to sign both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alphonso Davies next summer.

Real Madrid targeting double deal for Alexander-Arnold and Davies

The full-back position is perhaps the area where Real Madrid are most vulnerable at the moment.

In an ideal world, Real Madrid would need to address that position in this summer's window.

However, just as the club has always been, Real Madrid will look to be opportunistic in the market and that's why making moves for Davies and Alexander-Arnold is a priority for next summer.

Currently, both Davies' and Alexander-Arnold's current deals expire next summer.

Bayern Munich have stalled in negotiations with Davies to renew his contract, and he seems all but destined to leave when it expires in June 2025.

The same situation is currently playing out at Liverpool, where Alexander-Arnold is yet to enter contract negotiations with the club. The hope is that he will extend his deal - being a homegrown product and the club's current vice captain.

However, the allure of Real Madrid is difficult to turn down and Alexander-Arnold has been spotted spending a lot of time with Jude Bellingham this summer - perhaps his influence could also play a role in the Spanish giants' potential move.

There is no denying if Perez can lure both Davies and Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid on free transfers - Real Madrid have a chance of completing an even better summer transfer window next year.

The fact that they are already actively working on the deals behind the scenes - just as they did with Kylian Mbappe - is an encouraging sign.
