Real Madrid plot FOUR signings to ease crisis - but there's a catch
Real Madrid are plotting four major signings for 2025 - but only for the summer, according to Spanish media.
Los Blancos are in the midst of an injury crisis that is threatening to further derail an already disappointing season. Eder Militao has become the latest Real Madrid star to be out long-term with an ACL injury and the likes of Rodrygo and Lucas Vasquez will also be sidelined for several weeks.
Currently, Carlo Ancelotti only has one fit and reliable centre-back at his disposal in Antonio Rudiger. Stand-in centre-back Aurelien Tchouameni, usually a midfielder, is also injured and Jesus Vallejo is not favoured by the Italian.

In light of the crisis, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Real Madrid could dip into the market in January. However, AS claims now that the LaLiga giants will trust their youth players such as Raul Asencio and Jacobo Ramon (although the latter will also be out for a month with a tendon problem).
So rather than making moves in the winter, it is asserted that Real Madrid will only bring in fresh faces in the summer.
Real Madrid's four targets
The Spanish outlet goes on to report that there are currently four realistic and attainable targets for Los Blancos. In Alphonso Davies, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jonathan Tah, Real Madrid are eyeing three defensive reinforcements on Bosman deals.
All three will be out of contract in the summer and Real Madrid are hopeful that their gravitas can convince them to make the move to Spain's capital. In the case of Tah and Davies, it is almost guaranteed that they will be on the move in 2025, while the future of Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool is still up in the air.

The last 'dream' target Real Madrid have in mind for 2024 is Florian Wirtz. Although signing the Bayer Leverkusen talisman isn't a pressing priority, Florentino Perez views him as the best up-and-coming (attacking) midfielder in world football and naturally wants to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu - along with his coach Xabi Alonso.
Leverkusen, ideally, would tie the 21-year-old to a new contract, but there is an acceptance that it will be difficult to convince him to stay beyond 2025. If given the choice, they would much rather sell to Real Madrid - the club CEO Fernando Carro supports - than rivals Bayern Munich. Wirtz, however, won't come cheap and will cost in excess of €100 million.
