ANOTHER Real Madrid defender tears his ACL
Miguel Perales has become the latest Real Madrid player to suffer ACL damage, according to Spanish media.
Los Blancos have had absolutely rotten luck with serious injuries over the past few campaigns and it has forced them to desperately scramble for reinforcements in 2025.
Last season, David Alaba and Eder Militao suffered ACL tears, and the latter is once more sidelined with the same problem, while the former still has yet to fully recover from his initial problem.

In addition to Militao, captain Dani Carvajal is nursing cruciate ligament damage and 17-year-old centre-back prospect Joan Martinez, earmarked for a senior role this season, has also torn his ACL, as have young midfielders Cesar Palacios and Dani Meso.
Recently, youth talent Marc Cucalon made headlines as he retired from football aged just 19 due to an ACL injury he suffered in 2022, which has left him unable to play because of an infection.

Perales tears ACL
Now, Relevo reports that another Los Blancos youngster has seen his season cut short due to the ACL scourge. According to the Spanish outlet, Juvenil A (U19) defender Miguel Perales has torn his anterior cruciate ligament.
The injury occurred at the weekend in a game against Real Valladolid and an MRI scan has confirmed that the 18-year-old's campaign is over. The frequency of these injuries is naturally 'worrying' Real Madrid, the report states.

"From within, they point to the demands of training as the main reason, but other possible causes are being investigated," the outlet writes. Real Madrid's medical department has already come under intensified scrutiny.
Thankfully for the Juvenil A side, a reinforcement is already on the way as Real Madrid are on the verge of tying up a deal for Leganes prospect Lamini Fati, though he could also potentially feature for the Castilla reserve side before making the step up to the first team.
