Barcelona warned over ‘DANGEROUS’ Laporta
Barcelona have been warned that president Joan Laporta is a figure putting the fabric of the club under threat.
Laporta has orchestrated a number of deals to get the Blaugrana back to some level of financial stability after years of trouble, opening up the possibility of making an eye-catching signing or two during transfer window.
Barcelona fans have been warned by Victor Font, the leader of ‘Si al Futur’, a group campaigning for change at the club, that the president is deceiving them and that the financial levers that he has pulled in order to get the club into their current position are concerning for the club in the long term.

“The situation under Laporta is worse than what it was under Josep Maria Bartomeu. I still ask him to resign,” Font told RAC1, referring to the club’s previous president, who dragged the club into trouble by a variety of misjudged financial decisions.
“I’m convinced that in a short time, there will be problems, that we’ll have our heads in our hands.
“Joan Laporta is confusing himself with the club, which is dangerous in political movements. Who is Laporta to decide who is a good or bad Barcelona fan? El Chiringuito and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez are now his allies.
“I’m sure the Laporta of 2003 would be demanding the resignation of the Laporta of 2025.”

Dani Olmo signing criticised
The decision to spend €55 million on Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig last summer is a transfer that Font points out as typifying what he believes is the ‘recklessness’ of Laporta.
Barcelona were only able to register Olmo thanks to a quirk of Andreas Christensen getting injured and they are presently locked in a battle over the registration of the Spain international and Pau Vitor. It appears that they have come out on top of this fight but the situation could yet change.
“At this point, we have to row in the same direction and Barca will have to fight in all instances, even in the ordinary courts, if in the future they are deregistered,” Font says.
“It was reckless signing a player, even if it is a blessing from a sporting point of view, without knowing if you could register him.
“If Christensen wasn’t injured, what would have happened? Recklessness endangers the Barcelona we love the most. We need proper management.”
