Kylian Mbappe may have made a slow start at Real Madrid, but the France international superstar is now up and running, and according to club legend Casemiro, he will be a prolific scorer for Los Blancos.
Mbappe’s first months have been dogged by uncertainty over how he might fit into the squad alongside Ballon d’Or runner-up Vinicius Junior as well as off-field controversy.

The 26-year-old has been in hot form in recent weeks, scoring in three of his last four Champions League outings and bagging seven goals in his last seven in LaLiga.
This is just a taste of what’s to come, according to Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, who knows firsthand what it takes to be a success at Real Madrid.
“He is now well established and he will score 40 goals a year,” Casemiro told AS when it was put to him that Mbappe seemed to be feeling the pressure under the unique weight of the Real Madrid shirt.
“He’s already got 25 goals and will go past 40 in his first season.

“He can make history with Real Madrid. He’s playing in a position that’s not his but doing well because he’s very good. It’s not easy to remove Vini from the left. But that’s football and he’s doing well.
“I'll tell you one thing. Mbappe is an unstoppable player. My first encounter with him was in the Champions League in Paris, at the Parc des Princes. He did everything to us. We lost 1-0 with a goal from him, but it was crazy.
“He's the kind of player who will go down in football history. We can't ask him to always score a 9. But he never goes below 7.5 or 8. He's spoiled us.”

Casemiro told Real Madrid to sign Mbappe at all costs
Casemiro revealed that following that match in Paris, he was straight in the ear of the directors instructing them to sign Mbappe.
He said: “Yes, after that game I spoke to the president and I told him: ‘Sign him, it’s impossible to stop him.’
“He’s one of those players that when you play against them you don’t know how to stop him. He’s not at the very top yet, but he’ll get there. He’s the heir to the three greats, along with Vinicius, who continues to grow and improve in every game.”
Mbappe will be in action against Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday as Real Madrid seek to confirm their place in the last 16 of the competition.
