Neymar still harbours hopes of a triumphant return to Barcelona and the transfer is 'feasible,' according to the man who brokered his initial move to Catalunya.

Neymar has been nothing short of sensational since returning to boyhood club Santos in his native Brazil. Coming off a dreadful stint at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, the 33-year-old has been a man reborn since returning home.

In seven appearances for Santos, the new club captain has notched three goals and three assists. His goals include an Olimpico - a directly converted corner kick - and a direct free kick.

Despite seemingly being at the tail-end of his career, the veteran winger still feels as though he has unfinished business in Europe. He only signed a short-term contract with Santos, meaning that he could depart the club again in the summer.

It has been claimed that Neymar dreams of returning to Barcelona, a club many feel (and perhaps he himself) he left too soon when joined PSG for a world-record €222 million in 2017.

Neymar's return to Barcelona 'feasible'

It is doubtful whether Barcelona would be interested in bringing Neymar back at this stage of his career. The Blaugrana still have some financial concerns, especially when it comes to wages and LaLiga's salary cap, so signing Neymar may only exacerbate the problem.

However, according to Andre Cury, who represented Neymar when he initially headed to Catalunya in 2013, a transfer back to Barcelona would be 'feasible.'

"You know that he never should have left and if there are options, he would be delighted to return," Cury told RAC1. "I believe that if the club decides to go after him, his return is feasible."

Earlier on Monday, Spanish media claimed that Barcelona would be willing to consider re-signing Neymar if he can prove that he is still an elite performer by scoring 15 goals until the summer.
