Inda revealed on the Spanish radio program Radioestadio of Onda Cero that a Saudi club has offered Vinicius a five-year contract worth €1 billion, with a transfer fee of more than €300m for Real Madrid.

This would easily break the existing transfer record, which is currently held by Neymar, who moved from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 for €222m.

At Real, however, they are not open to Vinicius leaving. "He is one of the franchise players of the club," according to Inda. Los Blancos are therefore not planning to let the Brazilian go just like that, no matter how high the offer may be.

Vinicius 'tempted' by offer but determined to stay

According to Inda, the player himself is also reluctant to accept the multi-million dollar offer. "Vinicius thinks it is too early to leave Europe," the journalist stated.

The Brazilian is said to have felt the temptation for a moment but realizes that a departure to Saudi Arabia comes too early at this point in his career. "He wants to continue competing at the highest level."

Vinicius still has a contract with Real Madrid until 2027 and is one of the top earners in the squad. Both parties are now in talks about a possible extension, with which the club hope to definitively remove any doubts.

In Madrid, there is a firm belief that the South American will regain his top form. In his last 12 matches in LaLiga, the winger has scored only three times.
