Which country is hosting Euro 2024?
Germany will host the European Championship in 2024. The three-time winners of the tournament have previously hosted the Euros on one occasion before (1988), although that was as West Germany before the country’s reunification.
The 2024 Euros will be the first international men’s football tournament held in Germany since the 2006 World Cup.

The first ever European Championship was held in France back in 1960. The final was held at the Parc des Princes in Paris, with the Soviet Union beating Yugoslavia 2-1 after extra-time. France lost the third-place play-off to Czechoslovakia.
The most recent European Championship was delayed from 2020 until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was hosted by 11 countries in total, with both semi-finals and the final held at England’s national team stadium Wembley.
Italy emerged triumphant in the final, beating England on penalties. They are the reigning European Championship winners.
