Barcelona fear Bayern 'revenge' for Lewandowski transfer

Barcelona are fearful that Bayern Munich may take revenge over Robert Lewandowski’s bitter departure by letting Inter win in their Champions League tie and preventing the Spaniards from qualifying.
Barca and Inter will face off against each other in their next Champions League game knowing that the winner will likely end up progressing to the knockout stages, with Bayern top of Group C having won all three of their games so far.
The Catalans are third in the group, having picked up just three points so far after suffering defeat in the reverse fixture in Milan, and a report in SPORT claims that Barca are desperate for maximum points in all of their remaining games despite only ‘needing’ two wins.
The reason for the fear is reportedly because Inter travel to Munich in the final match day of the group and there is a belief that the Germans may end up ‘giving way’ to their opponents if Bayern have already qualified by then.
As a result, Barcelona are determined to win their home games against Inter and Bayern as well as their trip to Viktoria Plzen in order to ‘not think of the worst.’
With manager Xavi missing a host of key players such as defenders Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen, the club are aware that dropping any further points could allow Bayern a hand in stopping Barca from qualifying for the next round.

Bayern and Barca are both believed to still be dealing with the fall out that saw Lewandowski force a move to Spain in the summer by refusing to return to training with the Bundesliga side.

Bayern emerged victorious in the first game between them and Barca, with Lewandowski failing to impose himself as his former side ran out with a 2-0 win.
Lewandowski has otherwise enjoyed a fruitful start to his career in Spain, netting nine goals in eight games to put Barca joint-top of La Liga, while Bayern currently sit third in the Bundesliga.
