Neymar’s reaction to PSG’s Champions League loss against Bayern Munich will not have gone down well with anyone at the club – and certainly not team-mate Kylian Mbappe.

PSG suffered a limp 1-0 loss to the Bundesliga leaders on Tuesday, with a goal from Kingsley Coman the difference between the clubs.

There was no life in the Parc des Princes’ side’s play until the arrival of a half-fit Mbappe off the bench, which left Sergio Ramos so frustrated that he pushed a cameraman after the game.

Neymar, 31, was particularly ineffective over the course of 90 minutes, continuing a poor run of form after the World Cup.

Nevertheless, Mbappe spoke up in the locker room after the match with a rallying call to his team-mates.

He also sent a message to his colleagues via the media stating that it is necessary that “all our players are in good health” before the return leg. “Everyone has to eat well and to sleep well,” he said.

Neymar, though, appears to have other ideas.

Neymar on the European Poker Tour

Less than 24 hours after Mbappe’s message, Neymar was pictured playing in the European Poker Tour in Paris.

The Brazil international played in the tournament in the afternoon but also featured well into the evening.

“He went back to play the 10,000 euro event tonight. He’s back at the Hyatt Regency,” journalist Daniel Riolo told RMC. “I think he went there for the sponsor [in the afternoon]. He left and, in fact, came back. He went back to a big tournament tonight.”

It was reported last summer that Mbappe had grown tired of Neymar’s off-field antics and wanted him to be sold.

Meanwhile, reports in the aftermath of the Bayern fixture stated that PSG have decided to sell Neymar, and this will only have been fuelled by the forward’s actions.
