Eduardo Camavinga Transfer Latest: Is Man Utd or Real Madrid move on?
Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is already a record setter in his young career.
When he made his international debut for France aged 17 in September, he became France’s youngest international since the outbreak of World War One. By scoring a month later in the 7-1 win over Ukraine, he became their youngest scorer since that time.
He turned 18 in November and is experiencing the first downturn in form since hitting the professional game, yet there is a strong belief that he will bounce back.
Strongly linked with Real Madrid last summer, Camavinga stayed in France in a bid to earn more experience. At the end of the season, though, it is expected that he will move on. Recent reports suggesting he has pushed the club for this solution are no revelation.
But where will he go?

Real Madrid’s Camavinga interest
Real Madrid are the side most closely linked with a move for Camavinga. They have been associated with him for months.
Madrid would, clearly, be an attractive option for Cavaminga. One of the driving factors behind this, though, is the presence of Zinedine Zidane as head coach. If he were to leave before next summer, their appeal would be lessened.
Their push for the player was recently given a boost when it was announced that he has changed management to the Stellar Group, which is headed by Jonathan Barnett. He has a long history of working with Madrid, and though Gareth Bale’s relationship with the club may be frosty, the agent remains on good terms with them.
Furthermore, Zidane is one of the key figures pushing for the move in Spain.

Manchester United
With the revelation from Mino Raiola that Paul Pogba is set to leave Man Utd in the summer, the Red Devils have naturally been linked with a successor.
Camavinga is reportedly one of those players that they are closely following. Given his attributes and his ability to move box-to-box in a similar manner to Pogba, it is an association that makes sense.
The outlay on the youngster may be significant but that could be offset by the sale of the World Cup winner. Additionally, Camavinga’s wages will not yet be in the same ballpark as Pogba’s.
Is the teenager ready to start for United on a weekly basis? Maybe not on current form, but when he returns to his best then he is capable of slotting into the rotation.
Any other interest?
Tuesday’s edition of France Football states that Bayern Munich could be ready to make a move for the teenager.
With Marc Roca having failed to impose himself since arriving from Espanyol in October and Javi Martinez poised to leave when his contract expires next summer, Camavinga represents an attractive option.
The club’s recruitment cell has been particularly impressed with the midfielder, with Frenchman Laurent Busser especially keen on the move.
Bayern have a long history of successfully singing French players and even now count upon the likes of Benjamin Pavard, Corentin Tolisso and Kingsley Coman.
PSG, meanwhile, are credited with an interest in Camavinga. The Ligue 1 side are eager to add a greater French flavour to their side and the 18-year-old could certainly achieve that.
Although Thomas Tuchel’s side are well stocked in the centre of the park, they are missing someone of his profile, but as the most obvious summer option for Paul Pogba, they may plump for the Manchester United man instead.
