Kylian Mbappe has told Real Madrid that he will only join the club next year if they replace manager Carlo Ancelotti with Jurgen Klopp.

Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires at the end of the current season and it seems highly unlikely that he will be penning an extension.

Instead, the World Cup winner plans to join Real Madrid on a Bosman Transfer, having come very close to moving to the Santiago Bernabeu this past summer.

It has been unanimously accepted among all reliable media outlets that the transfer is already done for Mbappe to join Madrid on a free.

However, an incredible report in El Nacional on Wednesday claims that Mbappe will only move to Madrid on one condition.

That condition is that Real Madrid sack current coach Carlo Ancelotti and replace him with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Mbappe is known to be a long-term admirer of Klopp and hailed the German manager last year.

What did Mbappe say about Klopp?

"This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League," Mbappé said as Liverpool cruised to the 2019-20 Premier League title.

"They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy.

"Performances, like they have been having, don't just happen. To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager."

The chances of such a sensational coaching switch occurring at the end of the season seems slim, though.

Klopp has stated that he intends to see out his Liverpool contract until the end of the 2022-23 season before then taking a year off. Liverpool’s recent lack of investment compared to other top Premier League teams is understood, though, to have irritated the coach.

As for Ancelotti, he has a deal at the Bernabeu until 2024 – although Madrid would have no problem ending this early if he didn’t meet his objectives.
