Kylian Mbappé’s future remains a major talking point, especially after he put on a show on Saturday night by scoring four goals and assisting a Karim Benzema strike too in France’s 8-0 victory over Kazakhstan.

The match was held at the Parc des Princes, which remains his home stadium for now. Yet there had been talk about a possible January move to Real Madrid, with reports in Spain of a fresh bid from Los Blancos to secure Mbappé’s signature now ahead of the expiry of his contract in the summer.

PSG would be unlikely to accept such an offer in any case, especially after rejecting €180m in the summer, and now the player himself has dismissed the notion of leaving midway through the 2021/22 season.

Mbappe’s latest comments about his future

After giving a few interviews last month, Mbappé has now responded to questions about his future once again, asked about his plans by TNT Sport following the win against Kazakhstan.

“I’m here and I’m here for this season,” Mbappé responded. “I have had five amazing years here and I have made the most of every moment and I still do. There are great things still do come, as we have great challenges. But, I have already addressed this.”

With that, the questioning about his future stopped, as Mbappé made it quite clear that he is committed to scoring as many goals and winning as many matches for PSG as he can this season. The 22-year-old is starting to develop some chemistry with Lionel Messi and already links up so well with Neymar, so PSG have an excellent opportunity to win the 2021/22 Champions League.

For now, this is Mbappé’s focus. He will have big decisions to make regarding his future, but it appears he doesn’t want to make a major career change midway through a season.
