Revealed: Mbappe’s three ultimatums to reject Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe has made three ultimatums to PSG which, if met, will lead to him staying at the club and rejecting Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires in June and he has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension.
The World Cup winner was involved in the biggest transfer saga of last summer as he attempted to push through a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
In the end the transfer didn’t go through but Mbappe has been widely expected to still move to the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season on a Bosman.
WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?
There have been reports in 2022 that Mbappe has already signed a pre-contract with Madrid. However, over the past week there have also been reports that PSG are offering Mbappe a new contract which will make him the highest-paid player in the world in another bid to keep him.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, Mbappe is now prepared to stay at PSG if they meet three demands of his.
The first is that Mbappe needs to be convinced that PSG have the ability to win the Champions League going forward. Despite having spent a fortune in recent years, PSG have only once reached the final – losing to Bayern Munich in 2020.
The second demand is that Mbappe wants to be the number one key player in the PSG hierarchy, above both Lionel Messi and Neymar. He wants to be the main man when it comes to penalties and free-kicks.
And the third demand is that Mbappe wants clarity over the future of manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine has been heavily linked with an exit this summer, with Zinedine Zidane tipped to replace him.
