Neymar's season at Paris Saint-Germain continues to go from bad to worse and could lead to the forward leaving the French giants this summer.

After a frustrating league campaign which has seen the Brazil international miss more than half of PSG's Ligue 1 games, Neymar was also a mere passenger as his team were bundled out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

What then followed was an unprecedented degree of criticism from the PSG fans, who booed the forward and team mate Lionel Messi whenever they touched the ball in the following league clash with Bordeaux.

As such, reports in France are now suggesting that PSG are now looking into moving the player on this summer, despite having a contract with the club until 2025.

So if the rumours are true and PSG do consider selling Neymar in a few months time, which clubs would most likely try to sign him?

Barcelona

If PSG do end up deciding to sell Neymar this summer there will inevitably be one club at the front of the queue to sign him and that will be Barcelona.

Ever since the Catalan side sold Neymar to PSG in 2017 for €222 million, the Spanish giants have reportedly attempted to re-sign the forward on a number of occasions.

With Lionel Messi apparently keen on a move to MLS, Barca could turn to Neymar as their marquee signing in the summer, especially if the club are unable to secure the signature of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Manchester United

There are few clubs in European football that can match PSG’s appetite for paying big money for inconsistent stars but Manchester United are certainly one of them.

With Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial and even Cristiano Ronaldo all looking likely to leave Old Trafford this summer, Man Utd will need to sign proven wide forward players before the new season.

While question marks remain over Neymar’s physicality or desire to play more than one game a week, a move to Man Utd would be the perfect opportunity for the Brazilian to prove his doubters wrong.

Newcastle

If Neymar is simply only interested in moving to a club that will indulge him and, most importantly, pay him as much as PSG have done over the course of the past eight years then he will surely end up at Newcastle.

The Premier League side are now the richest club in the world and with safety from relegation all but assured, the club’s new owners will be looking to make some statement signings in the summer window.

According to Fichajes, the Geordie side have firmed up their interest in Neymar following his recent fall out with the PSG fans and would be willing to pay what is necessary to sign him.

Inter Miami

Although it’s certainly a long shot, there’s no doubt that a move to MLS would certainly be one of Neymar’s most obvious options after PSG.

In February the Brazilian star admitted quite openly that he would consider a move to the United States over a return to Brazil when he said "I don't know if I'll play in Brazil again, as I have some doubts about that," on the Fenomenos podcast.

"I'd love to play in the US actually. I'd love to play there at least for a season."

As such, the player’s interest is there. And in David Beckham’s Inter Miami side, there is a club with the financial backing and international appeal that could likely put together some sort of deal to bring Neymar across the pond.
