How much is Mbappe's new PSG contract worth?
Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed in principle to a two-year contract extension at Paris Saint-Germain that will see him become the world's highest paid player.
Le Parisien have reported that Mbappe has chosen to remain at PSG rather than move to Real Madrid, who have been heavily linked with a move for the forward.
A statement has appeared on a Twitter account that is under the name of Mbappe's mother, Fayza Lamari, that has rejected the reports, but Le Parisien claim that Mbappe will sign a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
The report states that Mbappe will earn a net salary of €50 million per year, while he will also receive a signing-on bonus of €100m. While the deal is for an extra two year, there is reportedly an option for one further year that can be activated.
If Mbappe stays at PSG for the entire three years on offer he will earn a huge €250m over that period.
That is unsurprisingly a huge improvement on his previous wage and sees virtually a 100% increase on what Mbappe has been earning on his deal that expires this summer.
The Frenchman reportedly earns €25.1m per year right now, which will take a giant leap if the reports prove accurate.
How will Mbappe's wage compare to his team-mates?
Not only will Mbappe seen a huge jump on his previous wage, but he could become the world's highest-paid player. It is estimated that PSG team-mates Lionel Messi and Neymar are currently earning €37.9m and €36.7m peer year respectively.
As a result of Mbappe's new deal, PSG will have three superstars on their books with a combined wage of nearly €125m per annum.
PSG rejected a €200m offer from Real Madrid for Mbappe on Deadline Day last summer, so they have already shown how much they are keen to ensure Mbappe stays at the club.
