Liverpool finalise Minamino sale to Monaco
Liverpool midfielder Takumi Minamino has completed a permanent transfer to Monaco, the Reds confirmed on Tuesday.
Minamino spent a total of two seasons as a Red after moving from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2020.
"Liverpool FC can confirm Takumi Minamino has today completed a permanent transfer to AS Monaco," the Reds confirmed in a statement published on their official website.

"Minamino leaves Anfield for Ligue 1 after making 55 appearances in total during his two-and-a-half-year stint as a Red, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists.
"Due to his quality and first-class attitude, Klopp once described Minamino as a ‘coach’s dream’, with the boss acknowledging the No.18 was deserving of many more starting berths.
"However, Minamino made the most of every second of his opportunities – whether that was on the pitch in matches or during training. “Without question, he is a person who helps set our standards,” Klopp said.
"And so, Minamino departs Liverpool having left a lasting impression on teammates, coaches and the club’s honours list.

The Japan international arrived at Anfield after five impressive years in Austria, the Reds parting with £7.25m to meet his release clause.
He proved a useful utility player to Klopp but fell short of commanding a slot in the starting line-up, appearing in just 30 Premier League games in his entire Liverpool stint.
Minamino did become a fan favourite in 2021-22 thanks to his exploits in the Carabao Cup, where he netted four goals in five games on the way to the title.
As well as Liverpool the Japan international spent time in the Premier League on loan at Southampton, making 10 appearances for the Saints and scoring on two occasions.
