Mbappe has missed his chance to play for Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe rejected a transfer to Real Madrid over the summer, and there is some belief that he may not get the chance to move to the club ever again in the future.
Mbappe signed a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer after a long transfer saga with involving Real Madrid, amid plenty of belief he would be moving to the Spanish capital.
The Frenchman had been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time – as far back as 2017 – with PSG rejecting offers for him in 2021, creating the chance for a free transfer in 2022.
It was expected that the Frenchman would move to Madrid this year, but that didn’t happen as he was given a bumper new deal at the French champions.
Mbappe's chance to move may be over
However, there was a late U-turn as Mbappe ended up signing a new deal with PSG to commit his future to Parisians, making it the most lucrative contract agreement in the history of the sport.
There is some doubt over the length of his contract, with new suggestions last week that it’s actually a two year deal until 2024 with an option to add a year on top.

Regardless, there is a feeling from the Spanish press – namely, Marca – that Mbappe won’t get a chance at Real Madrid again for a variety of reasons.
The first belief is that Mbappe earns a wage too high for anyone – including Real Madrid – to afford and that any transfer would only have to happen with no transfer fee.
Additionally, Mbappe accepted a huge signing on bonus from PSG to extend his contract with the French club – that too will be hard to match for any club in Europe.
There’s a belief that Real Madrid don’t budge too much for any player – as evident from their willingness to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 – and they won’t do the same for Mbappe in the future.
