Kylian Mbappe’s attitude is making him an increasingly peripheral figure in the PSG locker room, according to a report from France.

News broke on Monday via RMC that Mbappe wants to leave the Parisian side in January, and this was confirmed by a string of outlets on Tuesday, just hours before he scored in a 1-1 Champions League draw with Benfica.

FootballTransfers understands that Manchester City, Real Madrid and Liverpool are the sides leading the chase, but Chelsea and Manchester United are both monitoring the situation.

It has brought a public round of criticism for Mbappe, with legends of several clubs telling him that his attitude needs to be fixed.

Privately, meanwhile, the actions of the PSG dressing room are telling him the same thing.

L’Equipe states that PSG were impressed with the manner in which there was greater cohesion in the squad behind the scenes earlier this season, which losing Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes to Juventus helped. After it became known by Neymar that Mbappe was the man trying to push him out of the club, this only increased the Brazilian’s desire to be at his best.

With Lionel Messi also playing back towards his best, the weight of the South American pair has increased in the dressing room. They are reportedly backed by Marquinhos and the Spanish speakers at the club.

The report goes on to state: “In private, several of them have expressed their concerns: why does Mbappe deserve so much power?”

Mbappe’s attitude has changed

Since turning down Real Madrid to sign a new contract at PSG, Mbappe’s attitude has change.

“One day, he arrives at Camp des Loges [PSG’s training ground], all smiles, jokes and greet everyone, and the next day he arrived without a word and doesn’t look at anyone,” an insider told the French source. “It’s been like that since the beginning of the season.”

Mbappe’s list of allies in the PSG dressing room is short, with Achraf Hakimi, and the French trio of Presnel Kimpembe, Nordi Mukiele and Hugo Ekitike in his corner. He also enjoys a close relationship with the sporting leaders, including coach Christophe Galtier and sporting director Luis Campos, too.

But there is a fear that if Neymar and Messi are still supportive of Mbappe on the field before the World Cup, this could change after the competition, which would leave PSG in a very tight spot indeed.
