Chelsea blame PSG for Ziyech transfer failure
Hakim Ziyech had a hectic deadline day as he failed to secure a move from Chelsea to Paris Saint-Germain, with the move being blocked at the very last minute.
The Moroccan was looking to move to PSG on a loan deal after a frustrating time at Chelsea but the move could not be completed at the end.
The documentation to complete the move was sent in too late by Chelsea, which is why the deal could not be done, leaving PSG and Ziyech very annoyed with the situation.

Now, further details about the failed move have been revealed and it seems as though Chelsea’s lack of intent led to the failed transfer.
Chelsea blame PSG for failed move
It’s believed that Chelsea’s priority on deadline day was to get a deal over the line for Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, which they did end up doing.
That is why they lost focus on other deals, such as that of Ziyech to PSG, and given the magnitude of the Fernandez transfer and the fees involved, club lawyers were more focused on that than any other transfers.

According to Le Parisien, communications between Chelsea and PSG weren’t very smooth on deadline day, which contributed to the failure of the transfer.
The two clubs had agreed on a straight loan deal with no option or obligation to buy but there’s a belief that in the last moments of the transfer window, PSG wanted to insert a buy option.

That led to some procrastination, which led to the deal falling through – the French champions were hoping to get the matter resolved later on, but that was not possible and Chelsea are now stunned by PSG’s response.
On Wednesday, it was said that PSG were frustrated by Chelsea’s behaviour and they were appalled by the lack of professionalism shown by the Blues, highlighting it as disrespect towards them and Ziyech, who returned to London.
