Neymar ‘annoying everyone’ as he goes to war with PSG
PSG attacker Neymar could well be on the transfer market this summer, with the Brazil international “annoying everyone” at the club, according to reports in France.
The Parisians have been on a poor run of form in recent weeks, losing four of their first 11 matches of 2023 including a cup loss against big rivals Marseille last weekend. That was followed up by a 3-1 defeat in Monaco at the weekend, after which tensions reportedly boiled over in the changing room.
L’Equipe reports that Neymar, along with Marquinhos, confronted sporting director Luis Campos, annoyed at the manner in which the Portuguese had attacked the attitude of the team.

In particular, Neymar had been seen openly criticising Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike during the Monaco fixture in a manner that was criticised by Amazon Prime analyst Thierry Henry.
“I used to talk like that on the pitch, but you shouldn't do that. Are you also going to talk to Messi like that?” the Arsenal and France legend pointed out.
“This talk must be held with everyone, and not only with Ekitike and Vitinha. I spoke like that, but to young people as well as to old people.”
Neymar: Out of form and out the door?
Le Parisien explains that the issues have been building over several weeks, with Neymar’s birthday party, which finished in the early hours of 6 February and annoyed the PSG board as it came 48 hours before their cup exit in Marseille, a catalyst.
As FootMercato notes, Neymar is “annoying everyone”.
He might have escaped such a scathing critique had he himself not turned in an equally lamentable display against Monaco. Indeed, his performances since the World Cup have been poor, leading to suggestions that he was using the first half of the season, in which he performed to a strong standard, as a training camp for the competition before allowing himself to revert back to a lacklustre manner.
Kylian Mbappe, remember, wanted Neymar to be sold in the summer and there appears an increasing appetite among the PSG board to offload a player with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €67 million - but who would sign him?
