If Kylian Mbappe completes his long-awaited transfer to Real Madrid from PSG or switches to Manchester United, the deal will have been brokered by Fayza Lamari, his mother who has aspirations of becoming an agent.
Mbappe is one of a number of players who has adopted the trend of having a close relative look after their affairs while they concentrate their efforts on the pitch.
Lamari, meanwhile, can regularly be found in the stands of Parc des Princes in support of her son, who has become one of the greatest players in the modern day. She has typically been more reserved in speaking out in defence of her son than, for example, Veronique Rabiot, who defends the interests of France international Adrien.

In June 2023, it was revealed that she has aspirations of starting her own agency, with Kylian as the figurehead player. Lyon youngster Rayan Cherki will also come under her wing, with the teenager having been previously linked with a move to the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Speaking to Tribune de Geneve, she explained her role in Kylian’s career: “It’s not just on his image, it’s everything. Even his football, alongside his dad, with whom were are perfectly complementary in this support. I’m part of the team that takes care of everything related to transfers and negotiations.”
Previously, she had told Le Parisien in 2021: “In his professional life, I’m above all his mum. I take care of his communications, his image and his societal projects.”
At that time, she explained that ex-husband Wilfried Mbappe looks after “the whole football part”, so there has been a shift.
