Kylian Mbappe's future decided TODAY

Kylian Mbappe and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will come face-to-face for the first time since the star striker told the club he had no intention of extending his contract this summer.

Mbappe reportedly sent a letter to his current employers telling them that he had no intention to extend his contract this summer, leaving the door open for a free transfer to Real Madrid next year.

Mbappe could earn up to €275 million through a loyalty bonus (ironically enough!), this year's PSG salary and then a signing on fee from Real should he get his way, but Al-Khelaifi, unsurprisingly, would rather cash in this summer.

Mbappe returned to PSG training on Monday, and he will meet the boss again on Tuesday, when he addresses the whole squad ahead of the coming campaign.

Al-Khelaifi to address the squad

"Al-Khelaifi will give a speech to the full squad at their new £250m training ground… where he will stress the importance of PSG as an institution and the squad giving their full support to new head coach Luis Enrique," report Sky Sports.

Contrary to recent reports that up to six PSG players had complained to the club about Mbappe's recent behaviour, RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins said recently that: "The relationship between Kylian and his colleagues is, in all honesty, in very good shape."

But that doesn't change the fact that PSG have given him until 31 July to commit his future to the club - until at least 2025 - otherwise he will be sold in August.

Real remain Mbappe's most likely destination, but Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked in recent weeks with their finances in better condition than the record European champions'.

Paris have been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Enrique now overseeing a squad that has had Lucas Hernandez, Marco Asensio, Milan Skriniar, Manuel Ugarte, Kang-in Lee and Cher Ndour added to it.
