PSG superstar Donnarumma attacked and robbed in home invasion
Paris Saint-Germain and Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been attacked and robbed at his home in Paris, forcing him and his girlfriend to flee to a nearby hotel.
Police sources have told French media that Donnarumma and his partner Alessia Elefante were assaulted and tied up in their home while robbers took off with roughly €500,000 worth of jewellery, watches and other goods.
The couple then reportedly managed to break free and escape to a nearby hotel at roughly 3:20am, where they were helped by hotel staff.

A spokesperson for Paris’ prosecutor's office told the BBC: “An investigation has been opened on charges of armed robbery in an organised gang and aggravated violence following the events that took place overnight at Mr Donnarumma's place.”
An investigation into the burglary has been launched by the Paris Judicial Police. Donnarumma was slightly injured, while his partner, Elefante, was unharmed, according to sources speaking to Agence France Presse.

Donnarumma not the first PSG player to be robbed
Worryingly, Donnarumma is not the first PSG player to have been the subject of assault and robbery in recent years.
Angel Di Maria and Marquinhos were both targeted on the same night in March 2021. The pair were in action for PSG at the time and the former left the pitch after being told of the incident. The two men involved in the robbery of Marquinhos’ home were handed jail sentences.
Thiago Silva, Mauro Icardi and Sergio Rico have also been victims of home burglaries while playing for PSG.
Donnarumma, 24, is still expected to join PSG’s pre-season tour of Japan, despite the home invasion, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italy international joined the club from AC Milan two years ago and made 48 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season after ousting Keylor Navas as the club’s number one.
