Real Madrid’s SURPRISING response to Mbappe transfer decision
Real Madrid’s reaction to Kylian Mbappe’s dramatic U-turn that will see him sign a new contract with PSG is one of a club confident in its own destiny.
Mbappe has been involved in a bitter war with the Parc des Princes club which appeared certain to end with him leaving next summer as a free agent to Real Madrid when his contract with PSG expired in 2024.
The Ligue 1 champions even believed that the France superstar had negotiated a deal that was already in place with Los Blancos and had publicly put him on the transfer market.

Mbappe had rejected the opportunity to move to the Saudi Pro League for a world-record sum - although PSG were ready to accept a deal worth a reported €300 million - and seemed set to burn down his contract and leave for nothing.
But on Sunday, Luis Enrique’s side announced that Mbappe would return to training with the first team amid increasingly strong reports that he is ready to extend his contract with the club.

Real Madrid play it cool over Mbappe
Real Madrid are apparently unfazed by these events, having never planned to move for the 24-year-old this summer.
Marca reports: “Contrary to what has been reported, the leaders of Real Madrid have denied time and time again that there was any type of negotiation or agreement with the 2018 world champion, much less with the leaders of PSG. The atmosphere around the Madrid team made us think that this was the case and that the distance between what’s happening in Paris and Doha has been total.
“What are Real Madrid going to do with the script change? Nothing, or rather, the same as they have been doing. Wait and watch events from the sidelines. If Mbappe does not renew, on January 2, 2024, they will try to get his signature, withing FIFA’s rules, that will help them to sign the Frenchman as of June 30, 2024.
“If he extends his contract, then congratulations to both Mbappe and PSG.”
