‘HURT’ Mbappe determined to make PSG pay
Kylian Mbappe expects PSG to honour the rest of his contract, amid the ongoing saga over his future with the Ligue 1 giants.
Since Mbappe told them that he wouldn’t be extending his contract beyond the end of next season, PSG have been scrambling to sell their most-prized asset in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer in a year’s time.
A world-record €300m bid from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal was accepted – but Mbappe had no interest in a switch to the Middle East, leaving PSG still seeking a solution as time runs out in the current transfer window.

As thing stand, Real Madrid look like the only club who could realistically move for Mbappe this summer – having tried and failed to sign the France superstar last year.
But no offer has materialised so far – and, unless that changes, it looks like Mbappe will dig his heels in and stay at PSG.
And, per a report from Spanish radio station Cadena SER, the 24-year-old feels ‘hurt’ by PSG’s treatment of him – he was left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea – and intends to hold out for the full value of his contract: his €72m salary plus bonuses.

Chelsea enter the chase
Despite Real seeming like Mbappe’s most likely destination, other clubs are inevitable said to be interested in the 2018 World Cup winner.
Chelsea appear to be among them, with the i newspaper earlier this week that Blues owner Todd Boehly had contacted PSG personally to try and engineer a deal.
Whether the two-time European champions could pull off such a transfer with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules is rather questionable, though: PSG are thought to value Mbappe at €200m (£172m) – which would rank as the second-highest fee of all time, behind only the €222m PSG paid to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017.
