'You are the best!' - Football reacts to Messi's Ballon d'Or win
Lionel Messi has won the 2023 Ballon d'Or.
After inspiring Argentina to a World Cup triumph, the legendary magician was honoured with his record eighth Ballon d'Or, beating out stiff competition from the likes of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
Many believe Messi to be the greatest player of all time and it is certainly hard to argue with all of the accolades the Argentine has amassed throughout his illustrious career.

At 36, Messi is still going strong and given the performances that he put in in his brief time at Inter Miami prior to his injury, one can't help but think that the veteran will put up some more eye-watering numbers in 2024.
After claiming this latest award, the Argentine was showered with well-deserved praise, with long-time former teammate Neymar calling him "the best."
