Mbappe breaks silence over Real Madrid rumours and PSG troubles
Kylian Mbappe has addressed rumours linking him with a transfer to Real Madrid as well as the summer drama he endured at PSG.
Mbappe refused to take up an option on his current PSG deal that would have seen him trigger a one-year extension, leading to frenzied speculation over his future as well as a heated dispute with the Ligue 1 champions who did not take him on their pre-season tour.
Real Madrid were to the heart of this, with the Spanish giants steadfast in their insistence that they would only sign Mbappe as a free agent when his contract expires – a possibility that remains live as the 24-year-old striker has refused to sign a new deal with PSG to this point.

Los Blancos have, however, released a statement indicating that they are not in talks with the player and there have even been reports that their interest in the France star has faded.
“Have I digested what happened in the summer? What I want to do is to play football, the rest I’ll leave to you,” he told Amazon Prime. “You’re doing it well!
“I don’t want to overdo things. There’s enough of that.”

Mbappe's response
Mbappe was criticised after PSG’s poor Champions League display against AC Milan in midweek as they suffered a 2-1 defeat, and by netting three in a 3-0 win over Reims, he offered a response to his critics.
“It feels good to score a hat-trick. The most important thing is to have good feelings in the game. With all due respect, I don't need to play well to score. What I want is to play well AND score,” he explained.
Despite his strong display, PSG head coach Luis Enrique claimed that he was “not really happy” with Mbappe’s performance as he took his goal tally to 15 for the season in all competitions.
