‘PSG would reject €200m Zaire-Emery bid’

Paris Saint-Germain would reject a €200 million transfer offer for breakout star Warren Zaire-Emery, according to reports, with the Ligue 1 side determined to keep hold of a teenager who has dazzled under Luis Enrique.
While much of the transfer news at PSG surrounds the future of Kylian Mbappe and whether he will sign a new contract or leave for Real Madrid, Zaire-Emery has exploded onto the scene since the beginning of the season.
The 17-year-old has come to the fore particularly in recent weeks, delivering two assists in the Champions League against AC Milan before scoring in back-to-back Ligue 1 victories over Brest and Montpellier.

Zaire-Emery is expected to be named in Didier Deschamps’ France squad to face Greece and the Netherlands in Euro 2024 qualifying later this month, at which point he will likely become the youngest France player in over a century – breaking a record set by Eduardo Camavinga in the process.

What is Warren Zaire-Emery’s transfer value?
PSG would not sell Zaire-Emery for €200m, according to a former sporting director at a top 10 European club who spoke anonymously to L'Equipe.
“Today, determining the value of this type of player is very complicated because it is not done here at the coffee machine but it is the market which will do it - and that means between a buyer and seller,” they stated.
“Based on this principle, we know that Paris, even for €200m, will not sell him. Beyond his sporting value, symbolically, it is impossible. They cannot sell Zaire-Emery. He is priceless.
“We all know that a player born in 2006 who plays and is capable of being decisive in Ligue 1 or the Champions League has enormous value.
“And we know that with the emergence of the Saudi market and the crazy off-market sums paid by Chelsea for Moises Caicedo or Enzo Fernandez, Zaire-Emery could reach an incredible figure, but it would not be a price that corresponds to his true value.”

“Warren is a special case,” it is said. “PSG will not sell. And if we started from the principle that they were, there would be such competition of a case like this with all the big European clubs that it could reach a record amount.
“OK, it’s Chelsea, but if we start from the principle that Lesley Ugochukwu was sold for almost €30m then for Warren, when you see his recent progress, you have to multiply it by at least three.”
Zaire-Emery is expected to start for PSG against AC Milan in the Champions League at San Siro on Tuesday, when he will hope to further enhance his growing reputation.
