Mbappe tipped for SHOCK PSG stay by Luis Enrique

Kylian Mbappe is widely expected to join Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of the season, but Luis Enrique has suggested that his star man could end up staying.

Mbappe U-turned on a move to Madrid in 2022, signing an extension in Paris that made him the highest paid player in the world at the time, but that deal is set to expire this summer.

Mbappe has previously made it clear that he had no intention of signing another one, and has been in and out of the PSG starting line-up under Enrique in recent weeks.

Various reports suggest that Mbappe is set to earn €225 million over the course of a five-year contract in Madrid, and there are further rumours that his younger brother Ethan could be signed with their mother Fayza Lamari's player agency also backed.

'Last Classique, says who?!

But ahead of PSG's meeting with Marseille on Saturday, the Spanish coach has suggested that not everything is signed and sealed quite yet, with Paris in with a chance of retaining their talisman.

"Last Classique tonight for Mbappe? Who said that?" he asked rhetorically on Prime Video. "I keep my hope about Mbappe staying at PSG. He hasn't announced anything yet… he can change his mind, no?

"Imagine if we win four titles and Mbappe decides to stay at PSG... why not?"

PSG would be getting around €200 million a year off their wage bill if they lost Mbappe, although a fee for a player valued at €111.5m by FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm would clearly have been welcomed by the club.

He would also leave good friends behind in Paris, with rumours circulating that Randal Kolo Muani - a fellow Bondy native - and Ousmane Dembele were signed at his behest at the start of this season.
