Crisis at PSG! Squad REVOLTS as Real Madrid announce Mbappe deal
PSG are set to be plunged into a crisis that extends beyond losing superstar Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer.
According to a report in L’Equipe, a paper that the club has had a sometimes difficult relationship with, the PSG squad are unhappy with a non-payment of bonuses.
Mbappe has reportedly been left €80 million out of pocket by the Ligue 1 champions, who face a potential legal tug-of-war with the 25-year-old France star, whose move to Real Madrid will be confirmed on Monday.

But PSG’s headaches are not limited to the outgoing forward.
It is stated that players are waiting on “significant” sums from the 2022/23 season, when they reached the Champions League last 16 and won the French title.
L’Equipe indicates that “several sources” have informed it that payments of €300,000 each remain unpaid.

“PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi never have wanted to validate this commitment and make the payments. According to some, the Parisian president could not digest the poor performances of his players last season,” it is claimed.
“Those who left last summer - Neymar, Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos and Marco Verratti - therefore received nothing, like those who stayed. And it is unlikely that they will end up receiving anything.”
No documents signed
The situation is complicated further by the fact that PSG’s players are said to have signed no documents relating to the bonuses, which were agreed purely on the basis of a gentleman’s agreement.
Marquinhos is said to have approached Al-Khelaifi on behalf of Mbappe and his teammates on “several occasions” to voice their unhappiness with this situation but this appears to have made little impact.
This is far from the first controversy PSG have experienced relating to bonus payments, even excluding the ongoing Mbappe disagreement.
Prior to the Champions League Final 8 in 2019/20, the PSG management stood accused of missing instalments in bonuses by the squad.
