Paris Saint-Germain have decided to end negotiations with Napoli for Victor Osimhen and are now focusing on the upcoming season with their current strikers, according to sources informed by FootballTransfers.

PSG sources have informed us that they are confident in their current attacking lineup, believing that they have some of the world's best strikers already in Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani. They have dismissed rumours of stalled negotiations, as has been relayed in other publications, asserting that talks are now 'definitely dead'.

PSG believes that Napoli's asking price for Osimhen is too high and the possible addition of Joao Neves from Benfica would see them well-equipped for the season ahead without needing to pursue the striker.

The Parisian club had initially shown interest in the Nigerian striker but chose not to proceed further after learning about his €130 million release clause, as set by Napoli's president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.

While PSG do appreciate Osimhen, they are not currently negotiating for the Nigeria international and will not initiate any further discussions.

It's thought now that Arsenal could make an approach for Osimhen, however, with the Gunners and Chelsea returning to Napoli in recent days to enter talks over a possible move for the attacker.

Napoli are looking to sell Osimhen to facilitate the acquisition of Romelu Lukaku, who is eager to reunite with coach Antonio Conte, with both enjoying a successful tenure together at Inter.

PSG speak to Jadon Sancho's camp

It comes after FootballTransfers' story which detailed PSG's talks with Man Utd forward Jadon Sancho’s camp over a possible switch to the Parc des Princes.

The French club are yet to speak to Man Utd but are keen on the former England international, who is also open to joining.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem but Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in Sancho.

However, Man Utd are holding firm on their valuation of Sancho, who has been reintegrated into the side, which is so far pricing both the Italian and the German club out of the deal.

Sancho was been impressive in the Champions League last season for Dortmund and this was enough for clubs to reignite interest. Man Utd know sides will want to capitalise on their public fallout between the player and Erik ten Hag but they still want market value for Sancho.
