Marseille reach agreement in principle to sign Adrien Rabiot
Marseille have reached an agreement in principle to sign former Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.
The France international has been unattached since his contract at Juventus expired at the end of June, and he has been heavily linked with both Manchester United and Galatasaray.
However, Marseille joined the race for his signature and the Ligue 1 giants have confirmed that a deal is almost complete.

The French club posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Olympique de Marseille announces that it has reached an agreement in principle with Adrien Rabiot for the arrival of the French international midfielder at the club.
“The player will sign with OM subject to the results of the medical examination.”
Marseille were extremely active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in the likes of Neal Maupay, Mason Greenwood, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Elye Wahi, in addition to the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as head coach.

Didier Deschamps on Adrien Rabiot
News of Rabiot’s imminent move to Marseille comes after he was slammed by France manager Didier Deschamps.
Ahead of the September international break, Les Blues’ legendary manager told reporters: “Adrien Rabiot has a somewhat embarrassing situation. His contract was expiring and he was solicited by several teams but now he's without a team and doesn’t train in a group.
“I hope he can quickly choose a club that can then bring him back to us.”
However, Rabiot appears to have listened to his national team head coach and is now close to joining Marseille on a reported two-year contract.
