The Red Devils are desperate to bolster their team after a horrid start to the season - the worst in the club's Premier League history. Ruben Amorim has failed to really improve results and needs reinforcements for his system.

Goalscoring has been a major issue for Man Utd this season and bringing in a striker is a top priority at the moment. The problem, of course, is that the Manchester giants are operating on a restricted budget due to Profit and Sustainability concerns.

This means that Man Utd are in no position to shell out big fees on players like Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres and will instead have to pounce on market opportunities.

PSG outcast Randal Kolo Muani is just such an opportunity and the Transfers Podcast revealed on Wednesday that Man Utd have been offered the striker's services by his agent. Now, the Red Devils are getting serious about signing him.

Man Utd get serious over Kolo Muani

According to Sky Germany, Man Utd are stepping up their pursuit of Kolo Muani and are 'determined to do everything possible' to sign him before long.

Man Utd are looking to secure an initial loan move with an option to buy. PSG are known to favour a permanent move or at least a loan with an obligation to purchase the 26-year-old in the summer.

To secure his signature, Man Utd will have to fend off significant interest from around Europe, particularly from the Premier League. Tottenham have reportedly made Kolo Muani their top priority for this window.

Man Utd are expected to open formal talks with PSG shortly, having recently held 'very specific' talks with the player's management.
