Rangers have won the race for Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell, FootballTransfers can exclusively reveal.

Cantwell done pending medical
Cantwell said goodbye to team-mates at the club’s Colney Training Centre on Thursday and is expected for a medical at Ibrox as soon this afternoon (19 January) or Friday morning.
The Ibrox club have been chasing the midfielder since the beginning of the window and have now landed their key target.
Cantwell, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of £2.5 million (€2.8m) had offers from England and abroad as he is out of contract in the summer.

However, Rangers were keen to beat the competition by bringing him in immediately in a bid to bolster their hopes of overturning Celtic’s nine-point advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
The fee will be small, but FootballTransfers understands that the clubs will keep it undisclosed when the official announcements are made.
The English midfielder exploded onto the scene but has experienced a dip in form from the level that once saw him linked with a £30 move to the likes of Liverpool.
Rangers manager Michael Beale, who watched his side labour to a 3-2 win over 10-man Kilmarnock on Wednesday, will be keen to reignite the career of a player who was once touted to reach the very top.
Rangers fans are also eager to see fresh signings make a positive impact after last summer’s recruitment came in for heavy criticism.
Ross Wilson, Rangers director of football, has been the target of many critics, and he will hope to prove himself in this window.
Cantwell will be Beale’s first signing as he starts a new era at Scotland's most successful football club.
Given Rangers’ current situation in the league and the expectancy of success at the club, he will be expected to hit the ground running.
