Rangers receive TWO massive transfer updates as West Ham slayer eyed
Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz is desperate to leave Ibrox this January according to Turkish outlet Milliyet and has his heart set on a move to Galatasaray.
Yilmaz, 22, is reported to have held talks with the Turkish national team manager Vincenzo Montella in recent days where the Italian made it clear that if he continued to play regular football he would be included in his Euro 2024 squad.
That has led to talk about a potential deal whereby Yilmaz would move to Galatasaray on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer being sought in the summer.
The ex-Besiktas player has recently displaced Borna Barisic in Phillipe Clement’s Rangers line-up, starting the last four matches, but could well be on the move to shore up his international credentials.
Yilmaz has also been linked with a move to Hellas Verona in Serie A but Gala would appear to have emerged as the player’s first choice destination.
Rangers have been linked to left-back business of their own but a move for Josh Doig came to nothing with the Hellas Verona man now in the final stages of a move to Sassuolo.
Rangers in race for Bristol City's Conway
The 21-year-old forward scored twice in two matches against Premier League opposition in the shape of West Ham United in the recent FA Cup third-round clash and subsequent replay.
It was Conway who struck to knock the Hammers out of the cup earlier this week and he has eight goals in 22 matches overall this season. He is a Scotland under-21 international and has been at Ashton Gate since the age of 7.
However, Rangers will have a battle on their hands to land the frontman with Old Firm rivals Celtic - and Premier League sides Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Brentford - also in the frame for his signature.
Conway has 18 months left on his deal and Bristol City could well be forced to cash in soon instead of losing him for nothing down the line.
