Arsenal & Spurs target Vlahovic equals Ronaldo’s 60-year record
Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City transfer target Dusan Vlahovic has matched Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for the most goals in a calendar year in modern Serie A history.
Ronaldo hit 33 Serie A goals in 2020 for Juventus, becoming the first player since 1961 to score that amount in Italy’s top flight.
WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?
And Fiorentina striker Vlahovic has now matched Ronaldo’s number. The Serbian hitman found the net in the Viola’s 2-2 draw with Sassuolo at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.
WHAT IS THE PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE?
Vlahovic buried the ball into the roof of the net after being put clean through on goal, scoring for the 33rd time in Serie A in 2021.
Will Vlahovic leave in 2022?
The 21-year-old is one of the most wanted players in Europe in his position and is almost certain to leave Fiorentina next year.
His contract expires at the end of the 2022-23 season and Fiorentina recently announced that they have ended talks over a renewal.

Vlahovic has been valued at €60-70 million but his price will naturally drop if, as expected, he stays at Fiorentina until the end of the season.
Juventus are expected to table a bid for Vlahovic in January but there are also a host of Premier League clubs interesting in the striker.
Tottenham tried to sign Vlahovic this past summer and are set to return with a new offer in January. North London rivals Arsenal are also set to make their own offer, while Manchester City have also been heavily linked with the giant forward.
Atletico Madrid also tried to sign Vlahovic this past summer, while Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the Serbian succeeding Erling Haaland.
Vlahovic is the top scorer in Serie A for the 2021-22 season, having scored 16 goals in 18 league matches. He can add to this tally in the final game of the year on Wednesday against Verona.
