Ronaldo will NOT be signing for Monaco this summer

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be moving to Monaco this summer, according to the vice-president of the Ligue 1 side, Oleg Petrov.
Despite now being 36 years of age, Ronaldo remains one of the most devastating strikers in world football.
Juventus may have surrendered Serie A to Inter and only just managed to qualify for the Champions League in 2020/21, but Ronaldo was still in-form at the top end of the pitch.
In 41 starts in all competitions, he scored 36 goals, including 29 in Serie A.

However, the Bianconeri would allegedly be happy to allow Ronaldo to leave as it would allow his exorbitant wages to come off the salary budget.
Ronaldo earns more than the majority of the rest of the Juventus squad combined.
When there were rumours of a potential exit this summer, he was linked with returns to Real Madrid, Man Utd or Sporting CP, as well as a sensational switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The most likely scenario is that Ronaldo will remain with Juventus, though, before making a decision on his future when his contract expires in 2022.
Monaco had been mentioned as a destination, but Petrov insists the principality outfit will not be making any marquee signings this summer.
“Cristiano Ronaldo? I think our strategy is different from that of PSG," he told RTL.
"A big name? I don't think so this year. Maybe when the club will consistently play in the Champions League and perform at the highest level."
Monaco's spending
In December 2011, 66.67% Monaco was sold to one of the richest men in the world, billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev.
The Russian subsequently pumped hundreds of millions into the club, buying some of the best players around over the last decade.

Monaco's biggest signings of all times remain the acquisition of Atletico Madrid hotshot Radamel Falcao in the summer of 2013.
In that window, the club went on an unprecedented spending spree, as in addition to Falcao they bought James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho from Porto, Geoffrey Kondogbia from Anzhi, and Jeremy Toulalan from Malaga.
