Ibrahimovic nets stunner then reveals his plans for next season

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he is open to continuing his illustrious career with Milan, despite turning 40 earlier this season.
Ibrahimovic has played a key role in leading the Rossoneri to second in the Serie A table, just a single point behind leaders Napoli.

The veteran has started only six Serie A fixtures for Milan this season but has still managed to score six goals and create two more for the San Siro club. Indeed, he has been involved in 24% of their goals, despite his relatively meagre minutes.
And Ibrahimovic says that he is driven to continue his career at the top level.
Speaking after scoring a spectacular free kick in Milan’s 3-0 away win over Genoa on Wednesday, Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia that he wants to follow head coach Stefano Pioli in penning a new deal.
“Now I have to renew,” he said. “I am happy for him because he deserves it, if he renews, I renew. Pioli has done a great job.”

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, is happy to have minutes limited after suffering knee and Achilles injuries earlier in the season.
“I have fun. Before the match, we had already decided how long I would have played. These guys make me have fun and feel young,” he explained.
“We had made errors that cost us the previous two games. It was all our fault, not our opponents’ merit, but we won today and we remain up there.”
Ibrahimovic has been at the top level since 1999 and has played for many of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United, Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Ajax and both Milan outfits.
He has survived his career being written off following a serious knee injury playing for Man Utd in the Europa League back in 2018, which ultimately saw him depart to MLS with the LA Galaxy.
He returned with Milan in January 2020 and in his latest spell Ibrahimovic has scored 31 Serie A goals in just 46 appearances.
Ibrahimovic’s deal at Milan expires in June, but he is clearly eager for it to be extended.
