In recent years we have seen a number of young Serbian players, particularly from Red Star Belgrade, move on to bigger European clubs to excel.

Manchester City have taken a particular interest in this market and currently have Filip Stevanovic, Slobodan Tedic and Luka Ilic in their ranks.

The most famous young Serbian currently making a name for himself is Dusan Vlahovic at Fiorentina, who will more than likely make a big-money move to one of Europe's elite over the next sixth months.

Another wonderkid set to emerge from the famed youth set up at Red Star is Marko Lazetic.

"At simply 18, he’s the star of the squad."
