Milan want to dump ex-Liverpool striker after just one month

Divock Origi’s career at Milan is already at risk after a poor, injury-plagued start to the season which has seen the club consider replacing the former Liverpool forward in January.
Origi signed a four-year deal after his contract expired at Anfield but he has yet to start a match for his new side and has failed to score in any of his four appearances off the bench.
The 27-year-old has also picked up a muscular injury which saw him miss Milan’s win over Sampdoria and will also keep him out of action of the Rossineri’s next few games.
Concerns over Origi’s fitness have already seen Milan rest him every two or three training sessions and the injury issues, combined with the slow start to his career in Italy, have seen the club consider their options for the January transfer window.
Lille forward Jonathan David is one of the players listed by Calciomercato as a potential replacement, with RB Salzburg’s Noah Okafor also an option.

Despite Origi’s struggles, Milan are the second-highest scorers in Serie A so far and sit third in the table, unbeaten after the opening six games of the season.
Stefano Pioli has relied on the goals of Rafael Leao and veteran Olivier Giroud, both of whom have netted three times in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be out for a prolonged period after having ACL surgery at the end of last season.
There is a fear that Milan would struggle to retain their Serve A title if Giroud got injured, with Origi appearing to already be losing faith of the club and the Milan fanbase.
Origi is trending, Milan fans are not happy.

However Pioli is still appearing to stand by his striker, telling the media: “It’s disappointing, because he’s a good player, but he didn’t feel right at the end of the training session.
"I'm not worried about Origi's injury, but sorry. He is a player we strongly wanted and I'm now hoping to have him back after the [international] break."
Origi was recently called the ‘worst signing of the season’ by Italian reporter Alvise Cagnazzo, who claimed the Belgian was on a downward trajectory and described his output as ‘those of a midfielder rather than a centre forward.’
