Jose Mourinho to PSG, Real Madrid or Chelsea? The state of play
Jose Mourinho is being linked to three of the biggest jobs in football ahead of next season.
There have been a number of reports in recent days that PSG, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all considering Mourinho.
The latest report came in Foot Mercato this week, which reported that PSG’s sporting advisor Luis Campos has made contact with Mourinho.

It is looking increasingly unlikely that current boss Christophe Galtier will stay beyond the current campaign, and he may even be sacked imminently if PSG go out to Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16. They are 1-0 down to the Germans after the first leg in Paris.
Mourinho to return to Real Madrid or Chelsea?
Zinedine Zidane is considered the number one target for PSG, but Mourinho is the backup option if the former Real Madrid and Juventus star doesn’t take the job.
Talking of Real Madrid, Mourinho is also on the list of Florentino Perez’s candidates to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the season.
Ancelotti enjoyed a brilliant 2021-22 season, winning the Champions League and La Liga. But he has struggled much more this term, with Barcelona running away with the title. The Champions League tie with Liverpool could be key to his future.
Mourinho would be open to returning to Madrid as he feels that he has one more big job in him having recently turned 60.
The same is so for Chelsea, in what would be a third stint in charge at the club.
Current Chelsea manager Graham Potter has endured a disastrous reign so far and will inevitably be sacked if form doesn’t improve over the coming weeks.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly will consider whether hiring a more experienced coach this time if Potter is axed as the job has at times appeared too big for the Englishman.
Mourinho himself has a contract at Roma until 2024. Things have been increasingly tense between Mourinho and the Roma hierarchy in recent weeks.
He has the club on course for a top-four finish, which may be enough to see him wish to see out his contract at the Stadio Olimpico. However, a lot will also depend on what assurances he gets in the summer for strengthening his squad.
And if a concrete offer does come in from one of PSG, Madrid or Chelsea, will he be able to resist the lure of challenging for the biggest trophies again?
