Vlahovic to Man Utd & five Juventus players who could leave this summer
Juventus are in crisis.
The 2022-23 campaign was an unmitigated disaster both on and off the pitch.
Juve endured their second trophyless season in a row, while they won’t be in the Champions League after suffering a controversial 10-point deduction in the capital gains scandal.

The club’s board, including president Andrea Agnelli, all resigned before Christmas 2022 with Juve put under sporting and criminal investigation for a number of alleged financial misdemeanors.
They also risk a ban from UEFA from European competitions.
This all means that there is much uncertainty going into the summer transfer window.
Juventus are required to make more than €100 million from sales - perhaps as much as €140m - in order to offset the losses from an absence of Champions League football.
Numerous players will be put up for sale, including all of the established names who were on loan in 2022-23.
But, in a little more detail, here are five Juventus players to particularly keep an eye whose futures are in doubt this summer.
Who will Juventus sell or release this summer?
Dusan Vlahovic
Dusan Vlahovic arrived at Juventus as one of the hottest properties in world football in January 2022 for €80m from Fiorentina.
He had just scored the most goals in Serie A in a calendar year for 60 years and was posting numbers comparable to Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.
However, things have not worked out for him in Turin - and he scored just 14 goals this past season in 42 games.
Many have blamed the negative tactics of Max Allegri for not getting the best out of him and Vlahovic is understood to be considering his future.
Vlahovic also wants to be in the Champions League, while Juventus are considering a sale if they get a big offer.
FootballTransfers understands that Man Utd are preparing a bid.
Federico Chiesa
Like Vlahovic, Federico Chiesa is also considering leaving Juventus in the summer should Allegri be confirmed for next season, which appears likely to be the case.
Chiesa was considered one of Europe’s most exciting players two years ago, playing a key role in Italy winning Euro 2020.
However, since Allegri’s return to Turin in 2021, Chiesa has been a shadow of his former self.
Notwithstanding an ACL injury that kept him out for several months in 2022, Chiesa has underperformed massively under Allegri.
The big question is whether someone will take the plunge for Chiesa given his ACL injury and subsequent poor season.
Chiesa’s mood could also change if Allegri is replaced.
Angel Di Maria
Angel Di Maria is another big-name star at Juventus who has a poor relationship with Allegri.
The Argentine arrived in Turin on a free transfer last year and aside from a purple patch at the start of 2023 has not quite delivered as hoped.
His contract expires at the end of June and it was believed that Juventus needed to qualify for the Champions League for both player and club to wish to continue together.
It has now been confirmed that lhis spell at Juventus will end after just one short and not particularly sweet campaign.
Adrien Rabiot
Adrien Rabiot’s contract in Turin expires at the end of June.
Juventus had for months been in talks with Rabiot over a new deal but it was dependent on the Bianconeri qualifying for the Champions League.

With those hopes dashed, Rabiot seemed certain to depart on a Bosman Transfer. But the two parties are still having some last-minute talks to see if they can extend for one more year.
Manchester United remain the favourites to sign him, having come close to buying him a year ago. There is also interest from other Premier League clubs for the 28-year-old, who has just enjoyed the best season of his career.
Weston McKennie
Weston McKennie will be offloaded by Juventus again after returning to the club from Leeds.
McKennie moved to Leeds on loan with a conditional obligation to buy if the English team avoided relegation.
However, with Leeds now relegated, he has been sent back to Juve after a string of disappointing performances.
Mckennie will join other loaned players from last season such as Arthur Melo, Denis Zakaria and Dejan Kulusevski (whose permanent move to Tottenham is now confirmed) in being put up for sake.
McKennie joined Juventus from Schalke in 2020, and has made 65 appearances and scored eight goals.
However, he is largely unpopular with fans. There is still interest in him in the Premier League and Bundesliga but his value has dropped after his Leeds spell.
