Paul Pogba’s second spell at Juventus could come to an end as early as January amid interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.

The Frenchman re-joined the Old Lady last summer but endured an injury-hit first campaign back in Turin.

Pogba, 30, made just 10 appearances in all competitions during the 2022-23 season, and was included in the starting XI on just one occasion all year - a 2-0 win over Cremonese. Furthermore, he was taken off in the 24th minute of that game after suffering a hamstring injury.

Juventus, of course, enabled Paulo Dybala to leave the club on a free transfer in 2022 in order to accommodate Pogba’s wages.

That decision has come back to bite them, with Dybala netting 18 goals and providing eight assists in his debut Roma campaign, while Pogba managed a mere 161 minutes of action at Juve.

Now, the former Manchester United man could be on his way out of Juventus for the second time following interest from Saudi Arabia.

Pogba to the Saudi Pro League?

According to CaughtOffside, Juventus would be willing to offload the 30-year-old and Saudi Arabia is a logical destination for the Frenchman.

Columnist Jonathan Johnson revealed: “Paul Pogba is being linked with Saudi side Al Ittihad and it’s far from a surprising rumour, it seems like a bit of a no-brainer to me at this point that he could become the latest name to move there. It makes sense for both Pogba and Juventus for him to depart now.

“Juventus are running out of patience with him now. My understanding is Juventus would be willing to move Pogba on, but the issue comes from potential suitors, as it did with Neymar, because there would need to be some proof that the player is now back fully fit.

“At this moment in time, Pogba is far from being able to give that guarantee, so although there is interest from Saudi because he’s the kind of profile they’re looking at, there’s nothing advanced at this stage.

“Still, a fully fit Pogba would undoubtedly be of interest to a growing league like the Saudi Pro League so this is worth keeping an eye on – it wouldn’t surprise me if these rumours resurface once Pogba gets back on the pitch regularly.”

The 2018 World Cup winner has come off the bench in Juve’s most recent two Serie A matches as he works back to full fitness.
