Vlahovic makes bold transfer confession amid Arsenal and Chelsea rumours
Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has spoken out over rumours linking him with a transfer to Arsenal or Chelsea.
The Serbia international forward has been subject of transfer speculation for several months, having apparently struggled to settle at Juve since making a move from Fiorentina in the January transfer window of 2021.
FootballTransfers has revealed that Vlahovic is Arsenal’s primary transfer target for the winter while Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in him due to their need for a centre-forward reinforcement, and they were close to signing him in the summer in a swap for Romelu Lukaku.
A lack of game time at Juventus has been cited as a reason why he might move on in January, yet the striker has refused to confirm if he is indeed seeking a move away from the Turin giants.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, he said: “I'm very happy to be at Juventus. I still have two and a half years left on my contract here at Juve, we're in no rush but director Giuntoli and my agent are already talking.”
Vlahovic has also been associated with a move to the Saudi Pro League but he would not be drawn into discussing this as a possibility either.
“I feel at home at Juventus and I never really thought of leaving,” he said.
“Saudi move? I play for one of the most important teams in the world, I'm proud and for now I see myself here.”
Vlahovic seems settled at Juve
Vlahovic has scored five goals in 11 fixtures for Juventus this season, with each of those coming before he suffered a back problem in September that saw him miss a month of action.
Since returning, he has found it more difficult to get in the team, yet he scored against Inter in last weekend’s vital top-of-the-table clash and appears poised for an increase in minutes ahead of the January window, going someway to putting any move in doubt.
